Annapurna circuit trekking listed as one of the most beautiful and most popular trekking routes around the world, enclosed by glimpse of mighty Himalayas, mountain terrains to Himalayan terrains, dense forest, gorges, jungle of bamboos and rhododendron, river's valleys and the warm-hearted Nepali; which are reasons to pull the mountain lovers from all around the world towards this region. If you are real mountain lover, then there is no other option, rather than round Annapurna circuit trekking but you have to improve your physical condition otherwise you may not be successful to achieve all the beauties standing at the top of Thorangla-pass (5416m). We can start this trekking from various places but this tour plan starts from the Besisahar, it arrives after 6 to 7 hours of driving from Kathmandu. The upmost destination of the journey is the 5416m high Thorong La Pass, after crossing it,  we will visit Muktinath Temple, one of the important pilgrimage of Hindu and Buddhist and we will walk further to Jomsom, where ends our trek. From Jomsom we will fly to Pokhara, a beautiful Himalayan valley. From Pokhar, by drive, we will back to Kathmandu and return back to home town.

Detail Itineraries

  • Day 01Departure From home town to NepalTo spend the time incredibly in Nepal, the small, fascinating country of the Himalayas with the highest mountains on our earth.
  • Day 02Arrival in KathmanduBefore an hour of the Landing at Kathmandu airport, don’t forget to explore the panoramic glimpse of the Himalayas from the window on the left side of the aeroplane if weather is good. After the visa formalities and baggage pick-up, you will be taken to the hotel for overnight. In the evening, we will organize a small get-together with a tour operator for a short briefing about tour operational and program.
  • Day 03The day is reserved to explore the Kathmandu Valley brieflyIn the beginning, we will visit the Boudhanath. It is the pure center to learn about the Buddhist life in Kathmandu. The foundation date of this Stupa goes back to the 5th century AD, with the height of 36 meters. It was damaged by the earthquake in 2015 and after one and half year in December 2016, it had been reconstructed. After lunch break, we will visit the historical and cultural city Patan to enjoy the typical architecture of different temples, monasteries, palaces, different historical monuments, but the main highlights of this city is woodcarving which are used in the walls, windows, roofs and doors of such those historical buildings. In the evening, we will drive back to the hotel for overnight.
  • Day 04Drive from Kathmandu to Syange (1100m): (7-8 hrs)After breakfast, gradually we will prepare for a long drive with our private jeep to Syange. The road leads us mostly the countryside of Nepal with its green hills, winding rivers, terraced farms and the mighty Himalayas. Between the drive, we will make 2-3 times stops for a break. Overnight in a lodge with full board.
  • Day 05Trek from Syange to Dharapani (1,960m): (7 - 8 hrs)After corsing the long bridge near Tal, we will enter the Manag district, the district of great mystery. The trail passes through the terraces of barley, rice and potato fields. The waterfalls welcomes us in the beautiful nature and reach the village of Kodo. Afterwards we will reach Dharapani. It is the biggest village in Manang valley. Overnight in a lodge with full board at Dharapani.
  • Day 06Dharapani to Chame (2,710m): 5 - 6 hoursToday, our trail passes along several landslide sites site to Chame, but remarkable views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV (7,525m) helps us to forget the difficulties and obstacles arise during walking. We will also come across small hot springs where we may enjoy with hot shower. Overnight in a lodge with full board Chame.
  • Day 07Chame to Pisang (3,300m): (5 - 6 hrs)Earlier steps are along narrow valley which follows the trail with the beautiful view of the Paungda Danda (a rocky mountain), which has a dramatic rocky face rising from the river. From here, we also gain magnificent views of Annapurna massif and Pisang Peak to the northeast. Now, the trail descends to the Pisang of Manang Valley. Overnight in a lodge with full board at Pisang.
  • Day 08Pisang to Manang (3,500m): (6 - 7 hrs)From Pisang, we will take the route which passes through Upper Pisang via Geru, which offer us a beautiful glimpse of Mt. Annapurna, Pisang Peak, and lots of other peaks from great Himalaya. We make stops to the biggest monastery of Manang, Barge Monastery. Overnight in a lodge with full board.
  • Day 09Manang: Acclimatization day Today is our rest day as well as acclimatization day, but in order to keep fit in such a high terrain, we have to keep moving. We will make a short hike to either Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake. Overnight in the same lodge from yesterday with full board.
  • Day 10Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m): (3 - 4 hrs)From Manang, our path across a stream, leads us uphill to a village Tenki and then continues uphill in Marshyangdi Valley turning northwest up the valley of Jarsang Khola. The trail steadly gains the elevation along the northward of the valley, passing a few grassland, and bushes of juniper we will arrive in the small village of Ghunsa. Now the trail follows the meadows, possible, we may sights the herd of horses and yaks busy in grazing. After crossing a small river with the help of wooden bridge, we will meet the old Mani wall between grassland, finally we will reach the village Yak Kharka. Overnight in a lodge with full board.
  • Day 11Yak kharka to Thorang Phedi: (4420m): 3-4 hrsMostly trail for today is uphill to Thorangla Phedi. We may take some rest at Leder just before after crossing the suspension bridge. Uphill will follow us further today furthermore, passing the rugged cliffs, we will reach Thorang Phedi, is our camp for today which serve us beautiful scenery of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorung Peak and Mt. Khatungkan. Overnight in a lodge with full board.
  • Day 12Trek to Muktinath (3,800) via Thorong La (5416m): (7 - 8 hrs)Today we have to rise up very early in the morning, as soon as possible to cross the Thorong La pass, one of the highest passes in the world, with appropriate weather, is our optimal goal of the whole tour. Normally after 9 O’clock, very strong wind blows at the top of the pass which may dangerous for us. So as soon as possible early in the morning we have to cross it. After crossing it, we will arrive at Muktinath, a sacred place for Hindu and Buddhist. After lunch, we will visit Muktinath Temple and explore the beautiful Muktinath valley from lower Mustang. The rest of the day is free to choose individual wishes. Overnight in a lodge in Muktinath with full board.
  • Day 13Trek to Jomsom from Muktinath (4-5 hrs) After breakfast, our last day this long trekking beginnings, initially our trail follows the downhill descents, crosses the ancient historical village Jharkot (3550 m), where lies the Sakya gompa, a monastery from 15th Century. Further, our trail again leads us downhill to Kali Gandaki River and on the right side we will get the beautiful scenery of Kagbeni village between the fields of buckwheat and apple plantation. After Eklebhati, our trail almost remains on the bank of this holy river till Jomsom, overnight here in a lodge with full board. we will walk 4-5 hours today.
  • Day 14Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara: 25 minutes Early in the morning we will fly to Pokhara with small aircraft along a Kaligandkai gorge with the beautiful scenery of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu massive and other hundreds of mountain peaks of the western Himalayan region. After check-in at our hotel, we may take a rest or explore the Pokhara city exists nearby Fewa Lake. Here, we can indulge in buying some souvenirs or sampling some local delicacies. Overnight in Pokhara.
  • Day 15Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara: 5-6 hours After breakfast, we say goodbye to the beautiful city Pokhara and drive towards Kathmandu between rice field mostly near to the river. After reaching Kathmandu we have the rest of the day off. There will also be a farewell dinner hosted by agency.
  • Day 16Final departure Return flight. Our representative brings you to the airport

Your safety is our major concern while traveling with us. The trip leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is necessary due to safety concerns. Weather conditions, the health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., enforce to keep changes in the itinerary. So, in such conditions, we appreciate your co-operation and flexibility. 

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements:

This is a moderate trek and suitable for passionate walkers with the ability to walk at least 6-8 hours a day with a light day pack. But, we do not forget that walking in higher altitudes is more physically demanding than walking in lower altitudes; however, if you are in good condition in health with average physical fitness and have a positive attitude, self-confidence and a strong determination, you can accomplish this trek successfully. Exercising and jogging regularly for some weeks prior to the trip is a good idea to enhance your strength and stability. Past hiking experience would be an asset, but no technical skill is required for this trip. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases are required to consult their doctor before taking the trip.

Acclimatization and Safety:
High altitude Sickness (HAS) can be life threatening if elevation is gained too rapidly without proper acclimatization. Overexertion and dehydration contribute to HAS. So, drink at least 3-4 litters of water every day besides tea and coffee which act as diuretics. The altitude sickness is often characterized by the following symptoms: Headache, dizziness, difficulty breathing, tiredness and insomnia. Enough time to acclimatize, slowly moving, avoiding smoking and alcohol, positive feeling, lots of drink and sufficient rest can avoid the altitude sickness. For the emergency, bring pain killers that do not make you sleepy. If you are heart patients or those who have hypertension; should consult with your doctor before leaving to travel.

Climate:

Mainly, there are two seasons, spring (March, April and May) and autumn )September, October and November) as the best season for trekking in Nepal. During those seasons, the temperature is acceptable and weather may mostly clear, but preparing for all short of the temperature is obligatory because in such altitude, the weather is undefined. Please bring warm clothes, Thermal underwear, down jacket and down sleeping bag. Also in in Himalaya regions, there is a very big difference in temperature during the day and at night. Please also have a linen cloth (inner sleeping bag), sunglasses, sunscreen with a high sun protection factor.
